Flying Burro

Nice Mexican food joint in Melbourne Florida. They have some good offerings of food including giant burritos. The El Paso burrito had lots of filling inside and not to mention as big as the plate. The good news is that they come in a sealable container so you don't have to eat it all right there. The tastes are delicious and fried very well. Honestly the winner here are the sauces that they use. All the burritos are topped with the salsa Verde and it just adds so much flavor to the food. In my opinion, the best hot sauce was the jalapeno one because it had the best combination of spice while still enjoying the flavors from the food. Not pictured are breakfast burritos that they offer, (pretty sure they serve all day) the one in particular that I saw had chorizo, eggs beans and fries. It was quite delicious and the hot sauce added a lot of flavor. This one is on me, I didn't try the horchata but I will definitely be back to do so because the food and service was great! Everything is made fresh and ready to order.

Flying Burro is a quick, modern taco shop. The establishment is well taken care of, very clean, has a good sized eat-in area, and a drive thru. They are also open late. The service is friendly, and food comes out quickly. The burritos are similar in size to what you get when visiting Chipotle; large. Easy to share or have leftovers. The food is good, and a perk of the establishment is that they offer MANY hot sauces (bottled) on the tables. The portion given when ordering chips and salsa/guacamole was limited and not comparable to the price. Still, the guacamole was good. Overall, the establishment is clean, and the food was good/comparable to similar establishments. However, with many options out there, I probably would NOT seek out Flying Burro to eat there again. It was just okay.

The concept of a fast food place like taco bell yet better peeked my tummy for tacos. I heard mixed reviews about this place but was willing to give them a try. I ordered through the drive through. I ordered the 3 hard shell ground beef tacos - with no tomatoes and 3 soft shell with with ground beef no tomatoes. What I got was 3 hard with ground beef tacos and 3 hard tacos with chicken. Where in the world did chicken come from? Nothing I even said came close to chicken. So I figured I would make the best out of it. I tried it. The shell was fresh and crispy and thr lettuce was fresh but both the ground beef and chicken lacked any flavor. I was so disappointed. The chicken was so chewy that I took one bite and left the other tacos go to waste. The ground beef was edible, flavorless, but editable so I ended up eating them. Although I found it interesting that there was some type of sour cream on that taco and not on the chicken one. Even though tacos bell has the adverse reaction to some people that eat their food, at least it has taste going down. I was expecting way more than I got here for flavor. After I placed my order they guy changed my total 3 different times. It was weird. Doubtful I will be back but doubtful they will be around very long.
